Australia :
Queensland
On this DVD we travel by motorhome through
the Sunshine State of Australia, Queensland. We begin our
journey in Brisbane, the capital of Queensland. This dynamic
city has certainly flourished since World Expo 1988. First we
visit the Gold Coast which has similarities to Miami Beach. We
drive to Lamington National Park which has 160 kms of
walkways through rainforests and past spectucular waterfalls.
The mystical Glasshouse Moutains are next. We drive along the
Sunshine Coast to Fraser Island, the biggest sand island in the
world. Then is the little known coastal village of 1770, this
little gem should not be missed. Airlie Beach is the start of
the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef. After
Townsville we turn inland and visit historical villages and
waterfalls in the Atherton Tablelands. We reach the
popular town of Cairns and arrive back on the east coast. It is
now our turn to rough it as we trade in our motorhome for a 4WD
campervan and head North. Via Cooktown, Laura, Karumba and
Normanton we travel to Burketown where our trip through
Queensland ends. |
